Communication with parent and community partners is important to us.  Information about school events is shared on in various ways throughout the school year.  Questions, concerns and comments can be directed to our Eastside Secondary School team at 613-962-8668.

Supporting Academic Progress
Communication with parents is important to us.  Connect with your student regularly to see when assignments are due and tests are scheduled.  Concerns about your student's achievement, questions about tasks or ssignments, and other information are best addressed by our dedicated classroom teachers.  Additional support and information can be provided by our Student Success, Guidance and administration team.

Attendance
Regular attendance is the key to academic success.  We all do our best work when students are in their classes, learning with peers and teachers! If your student is going to be absent for a full or partial school day, please contact the Main Office and leave a message for the Attendance Secretary.  Students leaving for part of a school day must be signed out, and signed back in, through the Main Office by a parent.  In the event that parents and guardians forget to call to explain a student's absence, a note can be provided to the Main Office upon the student's return to school.

If your student is unable to attend school for extended periods of time for personal or medical reasons, please contact school administration for a meeting.

Community Hours
Ontario students must volunteer 40 hours of their time over the course of their high school experience as a necessary component of their OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma).  A tracking form documenting completed hours must be provided to Guidance before graudation.  Click HERE for the form. (Right-click the link and choose "Save As...")
