ORBA Scholarships

Must be pursuing Civil Engineering at an Ontario universtiy or Civil Engineering Technology/Technician program at an Ontario college.

Susan Richardson Bursary

Must be proceeding to further education in music at a university or college in Canada.  Priority will be given to students who have demonstrated an active involvement in music both within their secodnary school and the wider community.

Canadian Scholarship Trust Plan

Aimed at students who are pursuing Commerce, Finance or Business at a recognized post-secondary institution (University or College) whose parents do not have post-secondary education or who recieved it outside Canada.  2 scholarships are available - 1 for a female and 1 for a male.

Quinte Home Economics Association Education Award

Must be entering a post-secondary program in a Family Studes/Home Economics related field of study (Food and Nutrition, Clothing and Textiles, Family and Child, Housing, or a Social Sciences related course of study).  There are 2 awards available; 1 will be given to a student entering a College program and 1 will be given to a student entering a university program.

Kin Bursary - Kinette Club of Belleville

Based largely on financial need.  Must be a student of Hastings County, demonstrate finanical need, demonstrate commitment and compassion to others and their communities and be attending post-secondary in 2016.

PEC Memorial Hospital  Auxiliary - Health Sciences

Must be a resident of PEC, and have been so for 2 years; as well as pursing the Health Sciences at an accredited post-secondary institution in the Fall Term 2016.

Schulich Leader Scholarship Must be enrolling in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) program at 1 of the partnering Canadian Universities.  MSS can choose only 1 nominee.  Nominees must possess at least 2 of three criteria: academic excellence, leadership, financial need.  Please see mrs. The Belleville Choral Society

This annual scholarship is offered to eligible students pursuing post-secondary education in vocal music.

Medigas - Driving Dreams for our Youth

Applicants must be graduating in their 4th year of high school and have applied to an accredited university or college health science program ang will begin their studies in Fall 2016.  Please submit applications to the guidance office.

The Ameliasburgh Garden Club

Must be pursuing a post-secondary program in horticulture, ecology, farming or other related field and reside in South Hastings or Prince Edward Counties.

Must be pursing post-secondary education, be involved in co-curricular and community activities, maintain a minimum 65% average and show critical financial need.

Loran Scholars

Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident with a minimum cumulative average of 85%.  Up to 30 Loran Awards, valued at up to $100 000 will be awarded. Loran will also grant up to 40 $3000 finalist awards and 40 $2000 provincial awards.  There are 2 ways to apply: Sponsored Candidates and Direct Pool Candidates.  Moira can sponsor up to 3 candidates.  If you wish to be considered for one of these spots, you must submit a rough copy of your application with a reference letter to the guidance office by October 5.  Unsuccessful candidates should still apply via the Direct Pool. For a graduating student who will be attending an Engineering faculty at an Ontario University.  Applications will be assessed for academic record (35%), extracurricular activities and community service (20%), interest in pursuing a career in engineering (35%), and teacher and personal references (10%).  Written expression will be taken into consideration.

Queen's Major Admission Awards

Student who have an average 90% or above, demonstrate original and creative thinking, involvement in school or community activities, and proven leadership qualities may apply for a major admission Award.  The Chancellors Scholarship requires a nomination from your school.  Financial need is also a consideration for some.
