It was definitely a memorable first year startup for Ravens Athletics! Success was celebrated in both small and large victories across all teams.

Ravens sent our first ever athlete to OFSAA Cross Country. Midget runner Sami Douglas-Najem qualified 3rd at COSSA and went onto a remarkable finish at SamiOFSAA. After tripping up in a collision early in the race, Sami went on to make up over 200 spots to finish 140th out of 350 runners. The Midget boys’ team also fared well at COSSA finishing 3rd out of over 24 schools.

Our Sr Ravens Football team defeated the St. Theresa’s Titans for their first BQ Championship in our inaugural season. After falling behind 6-1 and losing the field position battle most of the day, the Sr Ravens took advantage of a fumbled 4th quarter Titans punt to score their first TD. With under 5 minutes left in the game Cole Tracey and Jake Akey helped force and recover the loose ball making it 7-6. Offense then added a late insurance TD after a Brandon Scerri interception. Making the final 15-6. Sr Ravens are travelling to Peterborough for the COSSA Championship vs Thomas A Stewart on Wednesday November 14.
